Hi I have a question, it's preaty important to me since i train inside focus. When a player of mine blocks the oponent does he automaticaly gets the ball? Inside players are told to need block too but I see no diference between inside defence and block skill when it comes to defending unless for every block you make the ball is yours. If it's not like that I fail to see the usefulness of the block skill and thus inside defence is more important.... i know that players should be balanced meaning a C/PF should have inside shot, defece, rebound and block yet...
So, does block give you the possesion or not? Thank you

The blocker may not get the ball himself, but I have yet to see a blocked shot that didn't result in a defensive rebound.

My experience in this matter is not total, so others may differ.

so basicly what you are saying is that every time a shot is blocked the blockers team will have a defensive rebound?

I have seen quite often a OR after a block.

So the answer to the OPs question is that a block may result in a defensive rebound, but it is not guaranteed.

Yes.

I watch most of my games and like blocks, so I always check if a shot is blocked.
