I think that I don't understand how "Depth Chart until 4th" works.

I thought that it would follow the depth chart until the 4th quarter, and then use the best players in an attempt to win the game. I'm not really seeing that happen, though.

In the 3 games this week, the player I started at C played all except 4 minutes. I did not have the starter listed in all 3 places (starter, backup, reserve) in any game. It can't just be that the player I put as starter was the best player available in the 4th quarter, because I used 2 different guys at starter (with the other on the depth chart). Do they not get tired after playing the first 36 minutes?

In my last game, I had my best SG in a reserve slot, in a fairly close game, and he never came in. Why did the coach not try to win?

I also did not expect my PF with awful stamina to play the whole game.

Can someone explain what I am not understanding, please?

(I'm not complaining about what happened, I just want to understand it)

well, I must admid I don't fully understand it either.

I tried all coach-tactics for various times, and I also see not that much diffrence between them except I can see the diffrence clearly between 'let coach decide' and 'follow chart strictly' , especially when you put players out of their normal positions.

They are not your friends; they dispise you. I am the only one you can count on. Trust me.

I found that when I set it to let coach decide until 4th, if I was winning by 20 or more, all my starters would be benched and my back-ups would play. Trying to manage training minutes make this a poor option in my mind. i only use strictly follow depth chart now.

that's the blowout rule, that's not your coaching option. If you're winning by 20 points or more by the 4th quarter then all your starters get benched regardless of what coaching tactic you use.

That's my understanding anyway.
