I think there is an ongoing debate as to whether shot blocking effects the game in ways not simply recorded by the shot blocking statistics. I have suggested that they make it a bigger part of the game -- it would be nice to have dominate shot blocking big men in the game: /BBWeb/Forum/read.aspx?thread=37650&m=1

If they did away with Shot Blocking, then they'd need to slow down Inside Defense training to make it more equitable for other training schemes.

I think that this game needs more skills, no less

to make a clear difference between multiskills and oneeye impotents

is true that it seems like that, but I would like to train my players to be as good as possible and take as less wage as possible, and while seems SB like not so powerfull, it gives to me a chance to have something in advance without raising a salary

You don't have a similar skill like stealing for players to train so why shotblocking?


So if there where an train for stealing, I think you would also grump about that train... but think about that example, maybe you would have a player with really good stealing skills do you think he would make always steals against other players, I think not?!

All skills rules together and the sum of that decide against the opposite players skills, you can have a really good block shot player but if the opponent player have better skills in range, jumpshot and/or insideshot your player will have not so much chance to block him.

So thats like the real life...

Yeah, I think the answer is that it needs to do more -- at least if you want the game to be realistic.

Sorry but what does your best player earn, 9k in the week, so maybe if you pay sometimes your players so much like Mutombo earns, maybe than they will do so much shot blocks because than they have the needed skills.

I think you should train your player with all the skills which he need and than he will do more shot blocks per game, if there is not a better player agains him...

in your further post I also read you don't like SB too much in this game. Tha's okay, but no reason to get rid of it. Other might like it a lot... At least I do.
