In order to make international play more inclusive for the global community a few users have gotten together to make a better belt system that is unofficial but gives teams something to play for. Basically, there will be 6 divisions with 14 countries each. Teams can play for higher belts, but they cannot take belts from lower divisions. Games will be posted here that involve belts. The divisions are based purely on the amount of users in each country. The highest ranked teams in those divisions will be initially placed with a belt.

These are the divisions:

Heavyweight:
España
Italia
France
Lietuva
Argentina
Deutschland
Portugal
Israel
USA
Polska
Chile
China
Türkiye
België

Middleweight:

These are the games involving belts next week:

Heavyweight: Italia* vs. Deutschland
Middleweight: Brasil* vs. Colombia
Welterweight: Canada* vs. Peru
Lightweight: Hong Kong* vs. Australia
Featherweight: Nigeria* vs. Al Jazair
Flyweight: Ecuador* vs. Uruguay

Australia and Uruguay won't get a belt if they win as they are playing a lower division team. Colombia and Al Jazair will both be able to get belts as they are playing up in divisions.

* = current belt holders

Sure, just strip Canada of the Heavyweight belt right after winning it.

In the first round of title defenses there were very few surprises. Every team holding a belt was able to retain it.

Italia defeated Deutschland 78-64 to retain the Heavyweight Belt. Italian power forward Cecchi led all scorers with 24 points.

Brasil topped Colombia 127-107 as they made their first defense of the Middleweight Belt. Brasilian Rosário dominated inside with 33 points and 19 rebounds.

Canada beat Peru 131-125 in a very close match that decided the Welterweight Belt.

Australia defeated Hong Kong 108-98. Australia was playing down in weight class and will therefore not receive the Lightweight Belt. The belt will follow Hong Kong to their next game.

Nigeria defeated Al Jazair 113-95 in a game that decided the Featherweight champion.

Uruguay defeated Ecuador 112-85 though Uruguay will not be granted the Flyweight Belt as they also played down in weight class. Ecuador will hold the belt for at least another game.

Just because I'm the king of unfunny doesn't mean I can easily spot it, right?

I can't be mad at Canada anyways, they've brought me great joy recently.
