Hi all,

I noticed that in many cases, the conference top spot is upset by the 4th spot in the 1st round of the playoffs because the underdog puts more enthusiasm for that 1st round. But if the top spot team rises its enthusiasm level as well, it can be very costful for the rest of the payoffs because the level of its players will be falling down for the following round...

What is your opinion on this?

Get to the best of 3 championship playoff using whatever means necessary. If you don't get there, you can't win it.

What do you expect, the 4th placed team to take it easy?

Don't think we will see this as much this season, because CT is no longer an option in PO.

Believe a lot of the upsets were by teams that CT'ed their PO games.

CT is still an option in PO games, we have Playoff Normal and Playoff Crunch Time.

Tie isn't possible anymore.

True.....it was a bit incorrect. The effects on the game is like CT and on Enthusiasm as Normal. So, I guess my point was that were the best teams previously would not CT because of Enthusiasm effect the they will not take a Enthusiasm hit this season if they use POCT.

Yeah true. The underdog will have a way smaller chance in winning this season, compared to last season. The tactical options are more limited, so the level of your players is more important. We'll see less surprises this season, unfortunately.

Hehe, this is good new I think, but it will be confusing for a few.

Slightly OT:
Btw, for someone like me who has still to use CT it would be interesting to know how many TIE it does take to recover from a CT, even though it is not relevant for this playoff. (Suppose you CT at enthusiasm 10, and want to come back to that level)

CT lowers the enthusiasm by 50%, TIE raises it by 33%, do your own math

I think that would take about 4 games. Enthusiasm at 10 with CT will go down to 5 or something, then it takes 3 or 4 games to get back to 10 I guess.

But it's all percentage wise, CTing at 5 will only take about 2 games to get back to 5.

But it's hard to give exact numbers, since the amount of updates between the games will count as well.

Is this in the rules or is it known by experince? (As said I have never played CT, and if it is in the rules I must have missed it...)

Anyway one must take into consideration the changes between matches laso to get a correct calculation, but thi is not too complicated.

I have no idea whether it is in the rules, but it is a pretty well-known fact.
