In an old thread related to the B3 there was a discussion about what would be the rules for teams to qualify to the B3 in the next season. We would like to know if the BB's have released an answer to this or not.

It seemed to be the consensus that every country should have exactly 2 teams in the B3, with the only exception for the champion of the immediately previous edition of the B3. The 2 teams representing each country would be the country's Div. I League Champion and the Cup Champion.

In the eventuality of the same team winning both competitions (as Abrantes Basket did in Portugal this season), the Cup runner-up would have the country's second spot in the B3.

Team's of NT coaches that were champions with the NT should NOT gain entry to the B3, since this is a club competition that has absolutely nothing to do with the B3.

This is a summary of the ideas raised back there, and we would like to know what the final decision of the BB's was.

Well, since I'm losing the I.1 Finals, and my opponent won the Cup also, I would like to see the I.1 runner-up to compete... But I'm just selfish :)

I said I was selfish... The best solution would be to have 3 or 4 teams from each country to qualify... I.1 finalists and Cup finalists... But once again, I'm selfish :)

No it's not the best solution. The Div I runner up played a far tougher schedule and should be rewarded accordingly.

The runner-up team does win something. They win the 2nd place, and they even get a trophy to show for it.

Meanwhile the NTs have nothing to do with the B3 or the user's club.

And the choice of the Cup runner-up over the League runner-up is due to the fact that the League runner-up is basically a conference champion who might not even be the 2nd best team in the league. It is much better to assign the second spot in the B3 to a position where any team can reach (Cup runner-up) than to another that only 8 teams can reach (one side of the div I league).
