This just puts a lot more question to BB-Charles comments suggesting that overall top division teams are likely to only see a 25% drop in overall revenue.

40% less in league ticket
60% less in TV money
~55% less in national cup money*

*Based on a very rough projection for myself. 12 games in the US cup, assume half home (~$200k) and half away (~$50k) which totals $1.5m. Under the new prize money, winning the cup would yield $675k.

That 55% is likely to be higher for most DI teams cause the prize money really goes up in the last few rounds, in which only a few teams will get.

Well... that was my last chance at staying alive.
Can count that one out.
Thanks BB's.
Now all my hopes depend on selling a big player and expanding stadium with the money, oh, and trying to win without that big player, so that at least some people go to the stadium (though, without a good player, I, who have only 7 playable players, will likely not be able to make it).
So guess I can just wait for 3 seasons or 4 and then try to play again, right?
Thanks again.

What I REALLY don't get is why promoted teams get 1M or little less and cup champions get 675k.

It's just so bad to be in that blown up area. 'Cause even though I made it to the finals, financially speaking I'm not a big team, and I counted on every penny I made. Now I just won't get anything, I'll see the bigger getting far away and the ones who just promoted having some wonder kid that he bought with prize money.

And I'll even have to hear that I didn't play my cards well in the game, because I hadn't a friggin' crystal ball to predict these changes. Sure, made it to d1 from d4 in straight seasons, made it to the final in my first season of possibly one of the toughest leagues in the world, but I didn't play my cards well... okay
