Has anyone noticed the HUGE drop in shooting percentage (especially outside) when playing TIE? It's almost ridiculous. It seems most other stats are not affected as much.

Shouldn't the effects be spread over more aspects of the game? Doesn't this penalize teams playing outside more?

I've played RNG 3 times this season:

TIE: 12-39 from three
Normal: 13-41
Normal: 14-37

I'm not seeing a significant decrease, albeit with a small sample size.

i think when you tie

you put your team in a position they wont be aggressive enough

but as the game goes they still play games, they jump shoot etc but doesnt have that tenacity or goal of really wanting the game.

the way i see it

if you tie is just like

skill level vs skill level + effort :D

yes, but two times you played against a man 2 man defense, and one against a 2-3 zone, not exactly the right way to defende against a R&G...so you can't obviously have seen a decrease in your percentages!!
maybe if you R&G and TiE against a 3-2 or 1-3-1 zone you will see a decrease in your 3pt's %...don't you think??!!

if you're facing a 3-2 zone or a 1-3-1 zone, your 3pt% is meant to go down. That's the whole point of the defensive tactic.

For sure, but if you TiE with a R&G offensive tactic you also can have good % against a man2man, that's what I want to say.

He played against wrong defensive tactic, so even if he TiE he had good %.

not when he got good defenders ;) I got an team in my leagues who have pretty good outside defence, and i know he will play 2-3 Zone against me(i could play both), but i play look inside against it because it is more promising.

Not really. Being an outside team, my interior defense and rebound is usually weaker than that of my opponents so I usually play 2-3. This probably biases my rebounding.

Some of the shooting percentages of my star players go completely out of whack, and not only from 3. Their shooting skills and ranges are good with respect to the average outside defenses I face, so I don't understand why all of a sudden they decide to jack up 3s or shoot hook shots from 20 feet out.

To me, this makes no sense. TIE has nothing to do with shooting percentages, it even might be the opposite: relaxed players would probably shoot better! I would have liked to see problems with rebounding (especially offensive), turnovers, opponent shooting percentage. But my shooting percentage? No way.
