anyone know the best way to stop it?
I have tried 3-2 but no luck.

then try again, your game wasn'n't bad luck your opponent got better Player + home court advantage.

1-3-1 can work as well OR concede the fact your opponent will score a lot using his preferred offensive tactic and try with your offensive tactic to outscore them by more than he outscores you using his... the old fire with fire option.....

You can stop Motion (or any other offensive strategy) by any defensive strategy, it depends on your players and players of your oponent. Every defense can be the best... it´s not so simple to say "this offensive tactics you have to defend with this tactics", I dont know what you expect... in the rules you can find what every strategy improves, look at yours and oponents matchup ratings + players and set up a tactic to improve what you need the most.

I meant team ratings, but matchup ratings could be useful as well.. :)

3-2 Defence worked for me. My last game it held my opponent to 88 points
