I'm not too sure what happened here, but it seems that not setting a team for your match may lead to an interesting result. It doesn't even involve my team.

One player managed to accumulate 22 fouls, the team scored an intruiging 25 points on 80-132 shooting from the field, and the team with no players managed to snag 25 rebounds, six steals and one block.

Is there no walkover system for when no players are set, or is this a genuine SNAFU?

Do a match replay on the game, and do a fast forward to the end of the game.

The game is counted as forfeit, and is recorded as 25-0 for purposes of the standings.

But some fans were allowed to suit up for the other team, and a game was played so that the winning team could get training minutes. It does appear that there is a bug in the fouling department, with Midgets having 82 fouls and the nobodies were 13-132 from the charity stripe, but only had 3 FG attempts.

I have a kind of similar question about this game: (1037867)

As my opponent had only 4 players, why did his coach think it was a good idea to bench some of them during the game?

And should'nt my team have done better? ;)

Thanks for the answer.

So there is a walkover system and the oddness with one guy getting 22 fouls was some kind of error. Now I know

The game engine generates players supposedly to represent fans out of the crowd. If you do the match replay and click on the box score, you will see that one of them was actually the high scorer for Jena.

But maybe the game wasn't supposed to be played. If you do the match replay there is no shot chart. And there is some sort of glitch displaying the player names for the team with 4 players (they're overwritten).

It might be that the game engine isn't programmed to take advantage of a totally inept player. If you were playing man-to-man defense, one of your players could be over getting some water, while you played 4 on 4.
