Hi, i would like to have some clarification about the effect of type of defence on the team ratings.
Playing with same starters and same rotation, and always at home, i did some experiments to see how 2-3 and 3-2 are affecting ratings of od and id.
Well, changing from 2-3 to 3-2 i saw id decreasing of 1 full level, and od being the same.
What's the trick? these ratings should depends only from my team, and i don't understand what should i do to increse my od against team playing R&G.
Is 3-2 defence bugged, as some players are claiming? do i have to play another defence?

thanks

3-2 is surely bugged in the stats at the end of the match, but i'm not too sure that it' bugged during the game as well...

anyway i play man to man :p

Yes, there is definetely something fishy with 3-2 in the stats. As an example, I chose to play 3-2 in the cup semifinal this year (8119581). From my anaysis this would leave the game as a 50/50 tossup, and just as expected it was a very close game (I lost by 1 point), however accoring to the ratings I should have lost big time.

Looking back to the ratings from this season I have achieved my best perimeter defense, repsectable 2 times, when I've played man-to-man, while with 3-2 and 1-3-1, and more or less the same lineup, I have reached mediocre at best. However, the results seem to be "correct" even if ratings are missleading.

In my opinion game shape is very important. Even if you play the same players, they can play one match better because of better game shape.
And even you play the same starters and backups, they can play different time. Maybe one match because of even game starters play about 40 minutes and backups about 10 minutes and second one both starters and backups should play about 25 minut even if you set the same rotation because of clear win for your team. This fact (how much time played backup and starters) also can influence team ratings as well.

And maybe also numbers of personal fouls is important. One of BB-staff wrote somewhere that the defensive performance of player with some amount of personal fouls drops down. But I'm not sure if it influences team ratings or it influences game in any other way.

game shape and time played were already considered, and make no big difference in the game under observation (same week), but the last point is interesting.
One question at this point:as we are talking about bugs or wrong data on same defence, is it possible to ask some BB to confirm our points?

thanks
