From my experience the speed improvement has been HUGE
In the past it was difficult to login and see the matches, several times the conection was lost seeing a match, everything was slow
Today everything was unbelievably smooth and fast, the speed has improved at least ten times.

I have never had major problems with the speed from here in Thailand, but it does seem even better than normal.
Once I scored a basket that still makes me laugh.
