Those seems like great changes, but maybe you can test those changes in the future in PL games as well (on top of the scrimmages)? Or does that sounds unfair for the non supporter teams?
That might give supporter teams who have a great cup run the chance to test the changes as well in their possible PL games.
I think that would be an inherent advantage for Supporters, and probably a no-go.
Rolling out new changes to PLs before league games:
ProsYou get more data points on how the changes are working. High-quality data points at that, since PL players are on average more serious users, and so more likely to notice issues.
Although no-one cares about winning or losing in scrimmages, many users care greatly about minutes distribution in scrimmages for training purposes, so treating scrimmages as a testbed for that type of change is problematic. PLs don't have that problem.
ConsMaybe a slight advantage to supporters adding new features to PL games.
Some users may want PL results to not be potentially affected by potentially buggy new features whereas no-one cares about scrimmage results.
If it was me, I'd roll out the changes to PLs as well. Maybe even
before they were rolled out in scrimmages.
