Just thought of a question...

Even though the draft boards are now available for us to look at various players, since the draft itself is still two weeks away, can we continue to pour money into scouting over these next two weeks and have more players on the draft board "revealed" between now and the draft?

Or is our draft board, since it is available, now "set" (which would mean, I suppose, any money poured into scouting the next two weeks is either wasted, or else already being applied to the draft at the end of NEXT season).

Anyone know?

And maybe a second question, not really related to the first...what determines whether some players are scouted once and once only, or scouted twice?

the scouting revenue is now going towards scouting for next season. the current draft order list is it. you won't be seeing any new players.

as for what determines what players get scouted, i'm pretty sure it's random. though it would be nice if users could target positions to be scouted. maybe make it cost more money or something.

That's not exactly what I was asking, I think I wasn't all that clear. What I meant is, I have this big list of names. A bunch (maybe 20-25 or so) I've scouted once, so I have their one-game stats plus their star rating. Of that group, there are about 5 that I have scouted twice, so I also have their potential and their age.

So my question was, since there are still a bunch of names on the list that weren't scouted once, why were some scouted twice and some not at all? Or, put the other way, why not scout everyone twice as a top priority? I guess I'm trying to figure out how the system decides in a given week what to do with your "scouting dollars," i.e. if I invest $40,000 in a given week, am I scouting 4 players once? Am I scouting two players twice? Am I scouting 1 twice and 3 once?

That's what I was getting at.

It does not matter if it is actually done every week, or as a calculation of your investment by the end of the season. the outcome is the same.

I think that players (4 per each week of 40000$ investment) will be chosen randomally for the scouting, regardless of prior scouting, unless they were already scouted twice and they are not candidates for the randomal choice any more.

It would make more sense if better players would be chosen for a second scouting, yet it seems to be totally randomal.

Still, I have no real knowledge, only assumptions...

with investment you got scouting points. 4 points for 40K and this accumulates through season. At the end of season, when draft candidates created, your total scouting points distrubuted randomly among 48 candidates. If 1 one assigned one thing, and 2 point assign another thing. I think this is how system works.

Good that you ask cause Id like to know:

Can a players potential be higher than this star rating? I have yet to see a player like that (all players I see in this draft have their potential equal or lower than their star rating).

Have you seen a player like that yet? Cause I havent in my career so far.
