We would love to hear people's feedback on the new game engine that was released for todays scrimmages... part of the reason for releasing it for scrimmages only is so that we can have the whole community look at their games and find bugs/concerns that would be difficult for us to find without their help.

Certainly some changes will require more than one game to evaluate, but in particular I'd be interested to know if people are happier with the end of game substitution patterns and pace.

When evaluating the end of game substitutions, keep in mind that your coach is thinking about a lot of things in different situations... i.e. I really need to get this rebound... I'm really likely to get fouled here... i really need a 3 here.. etc. If you watch the game and get the sense that the coach is making good decisions based upon the situation given what you know about your teams makeup than we have done our job correctly.

(Also note that we haven't yet implemented a "Player A will switch positions with Player B" comment in the match viewer, so at present there are 3 substitutions which do the equivalent of that swap.. and some bench warmer/lucky fan/injured/fouled-out player might be instantaneously in and then out of the game)

Thanks for any and all feedback..

incomplete lineups are not possible now? I've got 25-0 after dressing only one player. Is it meant to be? With numerous injuries it is possible to happen - what are the rules then? How many players have to be dressed to not getting the 25-0 thing? Is it needed to have all of them as startes if you dress five players exactly? It could be important because with 25-0 it gave only 36 minutes to starters (on both sides) and 40 minutes total distributes among substitutes (my opponent only). I thought from help forim thread that you can have incomplete lineup to play the game - so is it a new change or were they wrong?

Then again - how many players have to be dressed to avoid this?

Sorry dudes, I don't understand... There is a BB that is asking our opinion about the game engine and you're talking about arenas and sexy players... I really hope someone else will post here asap.

Today under the point of view of the tactics I didn't see big differences, instead I've seen huge difference when a player has too much fouls. I choosed keep him on the field and the coach did it; if I can make a suggestion, I will improve a little bit the malus that a player has in defence when he has 3 fouls or more but honestly my today's match wasn't so good to say that.

Thanks a lot to inform us in time about new changes and thanks a lot to discuss with us about it ;)

He suggested defense of a player in foul trouble should be (even) less efficient but he is not sure based on his today(yesterday) match.

hmm.. well id have to reread the announcement but that wasnt what we meant to convey. People in foul trouble have always been a little bit less effective defensively.. now they are just more likely to stay in the game if that option is selected.

Welp I tried a new tactic to see if I could tell much difference. My defensive rating was higher than expected and had more turnovers than normal.

my team fouled more and theirs fouled less so I really don't have a read on the new GE other than it seems defenses are tougher. Was that the plan?

By the By, I was hoping Rebounding would of been affected by this change because a 2-3 has way too much power on the offensive end (IMHO) and when there are free throws.

I will know more after I get the crap kicked out of me on Sat

I had in my last scrimmage cleared lines, however all players on "selected players" and I did to "let coach decide" and I never thought that I can have so good ratings on average, this is pretty good implementation:)
