Hi, I have a quick question. Is there a specific way to get your player(s) to the free throw line? For example I have someone who has Stupendous free throws. I'd like to utilize that ability more. So could I tell that player to like drive more or something or try and draw the foul?

Help would be appreciated, cheers!

I'm not sure what you can do. If he is a good scorer inside, then inside-focused offenses would probably help get him to the line. Sometimes the game engine does some strange things with respect to free throws...Pappy

First, this is pretty much all hypothetical.

Inside shots tend to get more fouls then outside shots (I believe this was either stated or confirmed by a BB but can't remember where). Therefore, if you play Look Inside and Low Post you should get more free throws on average then a team playing Motion or Run and Gun.

I believe that your player has to have a good enough scoring ability to actually take the shot or drive otherwise he will "calculate" a pass to be the best option. For example, if he has stupendous FT but only inept JS, JR or IS (maybe DR?) and strong passing he may decide to pass more often then shoot or drive in which case he won't draw fouls unless you improve his scoring ability.

Also, I'm not sure the effects of Drive on fouls but I would not be shocked if it contributes to drawing fouls directly or through inside shots.
