Hi,

On my last match (1165962), i've played against a team with inept(low) perimeter defense, and decided to look inside on my offense. nevertheless, the field goal percentage was terrible, even from the inside. why is that? my inside men have average or respectable inside shooting and yet, they were bad. If it were'nt for my great offensive (and my op's terrible defensive) rebounding I would've lost that game, I even had 1 play with 5 offensive rebounds(!) which ended in free throws...
Would it be better to play the lower paced version of Look Inside, i.e. Low Post?
Any other suggestions on how to improve the percentage?

thanks,

How is the driving skill of your players? You played 'look inside' which has an increased pace. Your players will shoot more often, even when they are not open. To be sucessful in this case, they need higher driving.

With a lower tempo game, I find you need guards who can handle the ball and pass well. That will avoid turnovers and set your players up for better shots.

That being said, your tactics were sounds. You were going to miss more shots but you had a huge rebounding advantage.

The starters (names):
SG - respectable (Ido)
SF - atrocious (Menachem)
PF - mediocre (Daniel)
C - respectable (Eliyahu)
PG - respectable (Refael)

this means that only the SF would've terrible FG percentage, but everyone else also did...

Does this mean i can only play base offense? (since high pace causes bad FG% and low pace causes TOs)

I think it's the only reason i won the game...

thanks for your help so far,

Looking at those stats, I think you just got unlucky. It happens in any game that has a random component.
