Hi,

I want to know how does the game set the new weekly salary.

1) Are their any abilitis that makes you salary higher then other abilities? (Handeling VS Reb...)
2) Are thier any position that charge more money (C VS SF)

Etc...

My opinion is that all the positions and abilites are the same. The reason why "Big guys" salary are higer is only because "big guys" get to higer ranks in fewer abilitis.
which leads me the idea that we pay higer salary when a player pops from 11 to 12 in one ability then when he pops from 8 to 9.

What do you think...?

I don't think so... I'm B&H NT-Coach, and I have one PG in the NT who has 3 wondrous skills, 1 prolific and 1 prominent, Salary ~ 34 000 $... And I have one Center with 3 sensational skills, one strong and 2 respectable, Salary ~ 43 000 $... Centers have smaller number of important Skills, so they have bigger salaries with less skill...

And I own this PG, look at the skills, and look at the salary:

Weekly salary:
$ 17 981

Jump Shot: tremendous Jump Range: awful
Outside Def.: sensational Handling: tremendous
Driving: tremendous Passing: strong
Inside Shot: pitiful Inside Def.: average
Rebounding: inept Shot Blocking: pitiful
Stamina: inept Free Throw: mediocre

Experience: respectable

If I lift his Passing to, let's say prolific, I think his salary would be 30k+ $, cause Passing is his most important skill... Handling is, from what I see, not that important for an PG :)

There are quite a few threads on this sort of subject, so I'll throw in my two cents before this one gets considered for closing...

PFs get paid a bit more than Cs, and SFs get paid a bit more than Gs, simply because there are less of them in the game and they tend to be more flexible (PFs can also play at C and SFs can play almost anywhere with the right skill set). I think you're right about the big inside guys, but the higher salaries are also to compensate for the fact that they're trained quicker than outside guys, so you've got to be able to sustain that sort of player on your roster financially if you want to take the "easier" training route.

I think you are saying right stuff...

But what about change positions...?? a player can change his position - incase my PF becomes a C will his salaty dorp???

other then that - does a Reb for a SG is a reason for a higer salay then lets say handeling or Inside shot??

It will increase his salary, but not that much as Jump Range, for example...

And also Shot Blocking.. these both skills to my opinion, influence the most on the salary after the main skills to any position .
But I would like to hear more opinions and more detailed answers .

Personally, I don't think a PF can change to C. There was a push a couple of seasons ago by the BBs to get more PFs in the game, and a lot of Cs that were borderline C/PF (ie they had some sort of decent JS or something similar) were just made PF. Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I've never seen it change the other way round.

Bevzil is right, for each position there are more important skills that will increase salary more than others. Personally I still use the newbie thread (3944.3) as a guide to which skills will push salaries higher than others, but some managers rate some skills differently to this in terms of actual usefulness, eg I rate H, P and OD equally for PGs but according to the newbie thread OD is secondary skill.

i've had a player go from PF to C. though to be fair he was a center at the time the BB's made that push. so basically he went from C to PF to C in about a couple of weeks.

Did he have average/respectable JS, but then his IS and ID were so high as to completely eclipse it? I reckon that's the only way that it could've happened.
