So I understand that the new staff system makes more sense for the majority of people, but I've found it to be unworkable for the way I want to play. If I want to be able to start making money I need to win games, which in turn means I need better players. That is what the staff helps with. if I put in a bid for a staff member, and I can't look every other minute to make sure I win a bid, then I'm stuck with the same staff that I had previously. Newer players don't have the thousands of dollars to overbid on a staff member, and players at my point have problems because we are low on money. I think that there should be some generic type of staff that we can get, while those specialist should be biddable. that will make it so that casual players can get decent staff while players who can be at the computer for extended periods of time can bid on good staff members.

I don't know what level staff you have at the moment, but in all honesty most people are going doolally over the level 5+ staff and those with specialities, so most people should in fact be able to get level 4 and under for more than reasonable prices, given the staff's abilities.
There are other things that you could do to maximise your profit and make your finances a bit healthier. For example, just taking a quick look at your team, you consistently sellout your lower tier and courtside seats, so you can up the prices on those to get that extra few thousand dollars profit every week. Plus you have quite a few young big inside guys, so perhaps concentrate on training them for a season or 2 and you should be able to sell them for quite a tidy little sum.
