As it is better the higher level I would suggest as good as your economy can cope with. Probably wiser to spend some money on resizing arena as well early so don't get too big expenses.
There are no safe numbers about how much more efficient a trainer is depending on trainer level as far as I know so tricky to answer how much you benefit from better trainer.
