There is an interesting discussion in the newbie thread about inside shooting. No one seems to know the answer. I was wondering if any Canadian vets have the inside track here. It has long been a question I have wanted answered.

What determines the success of an inside shot?

My belief is:

-jump shot is for outside shooting only. It has no bearing on inside shots.
-driving is the most important skill for inside shots, unless the player received a good pass to make him open
-after that, it is inside shot vs inside d

Any comments?

as we only have information on inside drives from a bb-source, the rest is speculation. my guesses would be: jump shot is given a small amount of weight in inside shots (as per the rules - but then jump shot is apparently not a factor with driving shots) and quality of shot (improved by driving or receiving a good pass) is calculated prior to calculating whether the shot goes in.

Thanks - I would prefer to go with your guess than mine.
