Right now my chance of winning my league this year are pretty good, I am winning my games about 20+ on average and I am 7-0 in my league. For a division IV team I have pretty good depth, and some players with potential. What sort of long-term plans should I consider for potentially moving up into a much more competitive league?

Something I have been considering is investing into a high level trainer 5 or 6 (I currently have a lvl 4). Is this a better consideration then a high impact player right now for me?

I think that you always will benefit with a trainer of at least level 5 compared to buyin expensive. You never get your money back by buying expensive while you will be able to have a couple of players at probably same level within a season or two by a better trainer.

But I do not think that there have been evaluations about what to prefer really. But in most management games a long time planning is better than short time stars ...

you should definitely get a level 5 trainer. to be honest you probably shouldn't go any higher than that. consistent training is what should sustain you coming into D.III. ever since i got promoted from D.IV i have managed to win my conference every season. just make sure you have depth.

Thanks, I have good depth right now and just upgraded to a lvl 5 trainer the more I think about it seems like the best investment. lvl 6 trainers go for half a million+ which is a bit steep for me. Thanks.

Thanks, what would the point of advancing to div. III just fall back to div. IV the next season? I hoping to get some good training this season for my team. Now I just have to win my championship!

Would surprise me if third division in USA is that strong. Should you really worry about relegation?

He would have to worry about it in mine, or at least worry about a qualifier.

DIII's, at least in the USA, appear to be getting a bit stronger as the game expands. There are some darn good teams in my III. Of course we have bad ones too and teams turning bot.

If your arena is still small, I think the money spent building it up would be well worth the investment.

In the last half of my Div IV run (I went 21-1, won the playoffs...), I was able to squeeze an extra 2,000 seats into my arena which has really been of benefit this season. With such a great record, your season ticket holders will be up (mine jumped by close to 800, to 1296) and you will fill those seats. And a strong Div IV team is probably equivalent to a mid level Div III team, as in my case. I've been virtually able to sell my arena out all season and have made significant financial gains this season. To succeed, you will need money and a consistent source is from attendance, IMO.

The trainers and players need the foundation of income.

I'd say, expand that arena to at least 7 or 8 thousand. I am working my way from 7 to 8 at this time.

I have been keeping my eye on last year's winner of our division and he is struggling in div.III and may face relegation. He went 21-1 in the regular season last season so if I make a move up I don't want it to be a one shot deal.

My arena is currently 5500, so I might be adding more seats. I am selling out every game right now. I should of raised ticket prices this month and now I am regretting it.

your division went into my league this season. we're not a division you want to get put into. we're probably one of the toughest D.III leagues. make sure you have an arena around 8-10k and a handle on ticket prices.
