Could someone explain to me the Team ratings at the game recap page or direct me to a thread. I didn't find the rules page very useful for this.

What is with the low/high rating in parenthesis?

Thanks in advance

Yeah I read that and it still doesn't explain what the low/med/high in parenthesis means.

The high/low in parentheses is just what sublevel each one is at. So eg:

respectable (high) is better than respectable (low)
strong (low) is better than respectable (high)

Hope that helps you a bit more.

ME
inept (low) Outside Scoring: inept (low)
respectable (medium) Inside Scoring awful (medium)
mediocre (low) Perimeter Defense inept (low)
mediocre (medium) Inside Defense awful (low)
mediocre (low) Rebounding inept (medium)
inept (low) Offensive Flow pitiful (medium)

..................................... ME
awful (medium) Outside Scoring: awful (high)
mediocre (high) Inside Scoring respectable (low)
inept (low) Perimeter Defense inept (high)
awful (high) Inside Defense mediocre (high)
inept (low) Rebounding mediocre (medium)
inept (low) Offensive Flow awful (high)

Here are my last two games. I played LI and M2M.

So if the low/high stats are not effort but another "sub level" why would my OS be at high and awful at the same time? then inept and low? I am hung up on this for some reason. It would be great to hear from a GM or BB on this.

Outside Scoring: awful (high)

This means that your outside scoring was at the high end of awful.

Each level has three sublevels, to wit:

Awful (high) = 3.75
Awful (medium) = 3.50
Awful (low) = 3.25

Think of it that way.

NO ONE at this table ordered a rum & Coke
Charles: Penn has some good people
A CT? Really?
Any two will do
Any three for me
Any four will score
Any five are live

These intervalls actually don't work, it has to be a third of a Level for each Sublevel. Besides that you got the order wrong.

How do you figure?

Besides that you got the order wrong.

It is actually a third of a level - otherwise 3.25=awful (low), 3.00=?, 2.75=pitiful (high). But the post clearly illustrates the point trying to be made.

So you think like this?

Low = .00
Medium = .33
High = .66

Works for me.
