I've noticed when watching my games that 'X' marks the spot of a missed shot. I've also noticed that when a player misses, but is fouled, the X remains on the spot. It also seems to go into the shot attempt stats, which is wrong. No field goal attempt is recorded when a player misses and is fouled. It is recorded if he makes it and goes to the line.

you are correct in that correctly scored, an FG attempt can not be counted on a missed shot when a personal foul is called.
maybe you should post this in the BUGS forum, not the help forum
