Why was 8pm EST chosen as the start time for US games? It seems a little bit late for a lot of the country. I don't mind it that much since I am on the West Coast, but I just wonder why this time was chosen.

How do others feel about this? Would you want the games earlier/later or just stay the same?

I vote for earlier, but that's just because I can't follow my games at work as it is now.

we assumed that people would not want there games starting when they were at work.. so 8 o'clock was as early as we could have them without the west coast drifting into pre 5 o'clock time.
