My question is how much do you read into the stat line on the potential draftees? On my list there is a 4 star sg that put up 36 points was 11-16 from the field 4-4 from 3 and 6-7 from the foul line, 8 asts etc. is that someone you wanna look at pretty seriously? On the the other end of that there are 2 5 star centers with lines of 8 and 6 pts and less than 5 rebounds. Is that something you need to look at or is that stat line not a great indicator of their overall skills?

depends how many minutes the 5 stars played. But the 4 star would come rather high on my list no matter what, probably first ;)

It seems the stat lines can be a bit misleading. Since it is only one game's stats, the results can be skewed a bit, as I have read. Perhaps the SG in your example played a really bad team or poor defender, or had a great game compared to avg? Or perhaps not, he always plays like that. Someone else in your conf may have the same guy scouted, and the stats they see are for a different game, where he shot 25% with 5 TO. The reverse may be true of the Centers in your example. Not saying it is completely random or anything, but it isnt hard evidence either.

In your above example, I would seriously look at that SG.....if he had high potential too. It's an informed crap shoot :)

It basically gives you an idea whether the player is mediocre and higher or awful and lower in obviously connected skill. But you won't get your money back if he is not.

Nicely said - informed crap shoot:)

Edit: Really bad typos.

i might be wrong, than pls someone correct me.

could it also be that the SG played in an outside-jump shot minded team and therefore shoots alot and the Center could have played also in an outside minded team and therefore doesnt shoot nearly as much as the SG or when the Center would have played in an inside minded team?

ps have to say that the stats for the SG are quite impressive.

I have a two star SF, who shot 16-20 (3-3 from three) with five rebounds in 35 minutes. We ended up looking at him again, and he rated a C- (2 potential).

Would you draft such a player over an unscouted four-star?

Interesting. I found out exactly the opposite.

Me also, i would have thought if everyone saw the same game stats it would make it pretty easy to communicate with fellow league members to gain extra information

Well if you see the same stats as someone else it is probably.

a) a coincidence, two players had the same boxscore line by accident

b) a bug, especially if both of you scouted him twice and he has the same rating and potencial for both of you - then report it in bugs forum please

Important note - Your Player x is most probably notPlayer x for someone else. X is a number from 1 to 48.

Edit: Ooops! "Not" was missing.
