Hi,

I am looking for the good player to be trained as PF or C. I know that I cannot count on buying the player I want (18yrs, 220cm and MVP), as guys from the higher leagues have more money and will overbit me quickly. So, I have to choose a slightly worst player. There are some criterion regarding training of the PF/C players:
-age
- height
- potential
- initial parameters.
The bust guy would be having all these parameters high, but as I said it is impossible due to small amount of money.
Now, it is time for my question. Which parameters are should I concern mostly while buying a guy. I.e. is it better to buy a younger guy but smaller or very high player with a small potential.
As experienced players you may help me which of this parameters influence the most training of the PF/C.
Thanks in advance!

i would say age (18 years) and initial parameters. height is only important if you plan to train the players forever and same with potential. these are differences that in lower leagues arent that important, my believe is that they do make the difference in the top leagues.

I am training a guard who is slight too large. He is over 2 seasons 1 skill in OD behind compared to my other guards...

Thanks a lot!

One more thing...is it very important for PF/C to have a handlling/driving/passing on some level or with i.e. atrocious will they play fine as well?

height affects training speed speed in low levels as well as in high level, so for training it was improtant.

About potential, the question is how good the player should be when you finish training him? You could train your player to around 40k Salary easily with all star potential, was is good enough for a club in div 2 or 3 in think, if you like to train an NT high potential + approciate high is lot more important then good starting skills.

Edit: if you go for PF, the height ain't that important because you will sometimes trains guard skills, so he must not be 2.20 values above 2.00 are ok in my eyes, and he should have solid skills utside starting with, because it easier to train the center skills.

Interesting views and as I have experience from training a 6th man potential player to in two seasons have a 9028 salary I think that your reflection is very valid. Interesting is also that I have another player with Superstar potential with same salary who is a worse player both in skills and on court. Seems like salary is increased quite much depending on potential and not on actual capacity.

And sub-levels can influence it too.

I know people say you shouldn't buy less than allstar to train but I have had an easy time training a guy at starter level popped several times last season. I am trying to sell him he is 19 still young but don't want him to go to waste on my bench after drafting a better PF with more potential. He won't cost that much nI bought without any other bids for him. He is at low end market value and should sell for that look at his stats from season 7 he played well for me.

Can you provide me a link to this player or provide me his parameters please?

If he is good enough I will buy him.
