As I read here 2 days ago, teams get botified when the user doesnt log on for 5 weeks (or 3 if he only registered and never played).

Does that mean that a team which last logged on the 20th of October will be botified today? Also, since BB had its advertisement on HT on the 27th of October, does that mean in 1 week BB will see a big number of botified teams (as Im certain that atleast 10% of teams havent logged on since registering)?

Botification occurs at the weekly economy update.

NO ONE at this table ordered a rum & Coke

A CT? Really?
Any two will do
Any three for me
Any four will score
Any five are live

Teams are converted to bots once per week, at the economic update early on Monday morning (the time varies by country). This coming Monday teams that haven't been logged in from Oct 15 to Oct 22(*) will become bots.

* It appears that 5 weeks may be 5 x 7 x 24 x 60 minutes. Last week some teams that hadn't logged in since Oct 15 were converted to bots, while others continued as owned teams.

Thanks for the information everyone. I asked because in my conference there are a couple of teams which havent logged in in a long time and considering Slovakia hasnt gotten a lot of new users lately, these teams will remain bots for the rest of the season.

Well it seems botification hit BB hard, as yesterday BB had cca 25750 users and today its roughly 22750. I expect next week to be even worse since that will be 5 weeks since the HT advertisement.

It happens, no one expected BB to retain everyone that signed up. I think the amount that have stayed is pretty good.

I think in the long run there will be a lot less botification in the higher levels since those users will most likely have earned their way into those leagues, and it will eventually become prominent only in the leagues where new users will get placed anyways, so the group it mainly concerns will not be affected. This will probably happen faster in countries that have larger userbases, though, so it may be awhile for Slovakia. Does anyone that plays HT know whether or not this was true there too?

I think a lot of people probably screwed up their initial teams (economically speaking) and let them go and started a new ones.

Yes, I think something like 10, 000 teams will be botified in the next few days... a scary number, but on a percentage basis I think that's pretty good actually. It will be annoying that so many leagues will have bot holes or whatever you call them, but we they will become compressed again in the offseason during promotion.

I think this is an unfortunate side effect of growing quickly... you can't really hope to do much better than keeping 50% of the users that sign up from what we can tell from buzzerbeater and hattrick, and so if you get a big influx you are gonna get a big outflux... I don't think there's much to do about it as midseason shuffling of teams would be a disaster.

It's a good game.Ii am one of those attacted by the ht-ad and like thousands of others I will stay.

Do I understand your message correctly concerning "compression"? Are there going to be artificial promotions to higher leagues in case there are too many holes? Or is it a horizontal compression? Or none?
