What variables go into determining a players rating after a game? Consider my last game. had a player who had (IMO) a really bad game but he got a rating of 7 while someone I think who did better got a rating of 6.5.

MIN | FG | 3FG | FT | OR | TR | AST | TO | STL | BLK | PF | PTS | Rating
28 | 1 - 8 | 1 - 4 | 1 - 4 | 2 | 2 | 1 | 1 | 0 | 0 | 1 | 4 | 7.0
26 | 5 - 11 | 0 - 2 | 5 - 5 | 3 | 7 | 0 | 1 | 0 | 4 | 4 | 15 | 6.5

Player B played 2 less minutes, shot better on the floor and the line, more pts, rebs, and blks but got a lesser rating than Player A.

The reason I am asking is so that if its all screwey and stuff, then I'll disregard it in terms of determining how my lineup should be setup.

The Matchup Ratings clearly show that Dodd did a way better job defending his man. The stats don't reflect that point. That's what the matchup rating is for.

Yeah that's what I was also thinking, that the player rating also takes into consideration the defense a player demonstrated. And yes holding the other PG to 49.7pts/100 shots would warrant a 7.0 rating for me. Thanks..
