***sorry i started this in the wrong forum area Canada DivII******
Ive been noticing through the forums here that there are alot of players from right near the start. who's the best manager???
id like to see those who think they are (not me) join together for a sort of competition. something along the lines of......
1- newbies and perhaps sophmore (second season or so) managers sign up on a limited basis depending on the number of willing vets.
2- random pairngs done by a mediator type person to assure that i dont sign my neighbour up and run his account. sign him up though.
3- maybe set up a federation to disscuss the "project" and continue to help build a better class of gamer.

One common thing ive noticed here is the seeming need for the human players to help out more in this game than anyother sim sport game ive played. All too often i have signed up and even payed sometimes to find a tight group of great managers that treat freash meat as ....er freash meat i gues. I know i sure could have used a bit of help when i started out. Ive found the forums here very informative (posters stay on topic which makes following the disscussion alot easier...for ex) stop day trading thread.

Anywasy back to the "project"
Im sure some of you gm's have the ear of the curator of bb and could ask him to maybe monitor when a few news sign up and maybe start pairing players up. This ofcourse would have a time limit type of thing. 2 seasons maybe. Then after that the new players should have a solid (if not better) understanding of bb and be more willing to stay and possibly recruit some friends along the way.

I dont think i'll sign up for it as im already into my 2nd full season but im sure newer players might appreciate the help. Especially smaller countries.
Having said all that id still like some advice or comments about my team and the direction i think im taking it.

I think the idea is good, but I don't think individual mentors are needed. The best and largest mentor system out here are the forums, where many experienced managers try to help the new players. Every new manager can ask here about his problems and there will be dozens of managers who are jumping in to answer his questions, that's a lot more than 1 individual mentor.

As far as the part of threads going offtopic, in global dicussions might indeed go another way sometimes, but threads in help forums will stay on topic most of the time.
