Okay, I know there are not skills that directly translate to ability to dunk [like 3-pt shooting with jump shot & range]...but it sure would be cool to add to the all-star weekend. Maybe dunking skill could be based on driving, handling and inside shooting (therefore both guards and forwards would probably excel in it).

Just not right having the All-Star weekend without the dunk contest.

From the rules:
During week 7 of the regular season, the top players in each league will compete in a series of All-Star competitions. The top shooters will have a three-point competition; there will be a dunk competition implemented in the future; and these festivities will conclude with a full All-Star game between the two conferences.

Is it just me or does a dunk contest lose something in a text sim?

I was thinking the same thing. I'm not sure what a dunk contest would really look like on here.

OK, I'll try:

Here we are in the finals:

James Duggan has decided to raise the stakes. His last dunk, a windmill, seemingly did not impress the judges enough and only garnered an 47.5.

Wait, he's bending down now. What is he doing? Yes, he is pumping up his Reeboks. He should get some serious air now.

OK, he's starting at half court, slowly striding toward the hoop. He's palming the ball now, and now taking off from the free-throw line, in the quintessential Jordan-pose.... SLAM!

The crowd goes wild...his fellow All-Stars are falling over one another in celebration!

Yes, he's done it! A 50! A perfect score!

You won't get excited when there is a flashing O behind the free-throw that switches to a solid O when it is made, or a bunch of X's for missed tries?

Don't even get me started. Fine, you did. You would think that a text sim would have a text representation of the play by play for analysis, wouldn't you?
