I think the NTs should be more attractive for all users! So that the most of the users were interested, how "their" NT plays... that more users vote for the NT-coaches and so on.
So, some ideas to make it more attractive:
1) The NT-pages should look more like "supporter-team-pages"!
=> Press blog
=> Rivalry History
=> Hall of Fame
(I know, that it means some more space for this team-pages, but we have at the moment just 180 NTs, if you count U21 an seniors)
=> Of course, there should be trophies!! It's a shame, that the World-Champion has no own trophy!
2) Problems with some matches
We allready had real much discussions, cause matches were planed to late... hi, that cant be true! We are discussion about the NTs, not about some farm teams from the 4th scotish league!
3) Probably we should discuss the "system" of the NT matches, too
Probably the Consolation Tournament is a funny idea, but ask the "normal users", if anyone is understanding the rules. I know, that everybody can read them... but the in my opinion the reality is, that the normal users dont do that and dont understand the whole CT. => There should be a much easier system.
If we play the CT like it is. There need to be a new kind of draw, with something like a seeding list. I think it's unfair, that some teams had to play 8 times against a time of the Top40 and some play 3 times against bots.
...these were just some ideas, which would help IMO to improve the whole NT-situation... I would like to discuss the ideas with you and hear some more ideas...!
