Hi there,
I have played a couple of seasons of BB now. Best game ever! But i have a small complain. Just a tiny one that can be solved very easily...
Every last season of the game i have no clue ( because of bad memory from my side) when the P/O games will be played. Is it only on officiel game days, or also on scrimmage day? Will the top 4 play on next tuesday a P/O-game and the 1/2 finale on thursday, or saturday?
Im stupid because i forget it every season, i know, but what about ppl who just begun in a lower division? They have no clue..
How can a team who doesnt know when the big games will be played plan a nice gameshape schedule for there star players. Should they start there star on saturday and tuesday because thursday will be scrimmage-day, or should they start there back-ups on saturday and let there starplayers play on tuesday and thursday because thursday is also a P/O-day?
And even a bigger concern, how can a newbie, who maybe has very low bonding to this game, because of all the questionmarks, be attracted to come back online when he even doesnt know when his next match will be played. For instance when he become 7th in his competition and has to play 2 more big ones...He doenst know he plays the next tuesday a very important game. He maybe even doesnt know he still has a chance to stay in that division.
*My first suggestion is: put a couple of days/1 week before the P/O's, on the newspage, a day-by-day schedule and all those tiny questions will be answered for newbies and ppl who just cant remember stuff like this..
*Second suggestion: i dont know if this is a good one. But maybe you can implement like 2 weeks before P/O time, in every teams matchschedule a alert thats based on the current standings of your team that a K/O or P/O game will be played on a specific date. Something like this
15-5 PL Dutch Pacers vs Cruesli
16-5 CG Soepzooitje vs Dutchpacers
19-5 ALERT: based on current standings you play today in the PLAY-OFFS
This second suggestions gives a lot continuation between the regurlar competition, the playoffs and the next season. And thus makes it more interested ans easy for newbies to stick around on BB.
edit: the bad thing is, when you check the rules (weekly schedule), what a newbie would do when he doesnt have a clue, you can see that may 19th wil be just a regurlar competitionday and thursday a cup-day. This makes it only more blurry. So this should be changed also i think.
