One thing I think I have noticed is that young(er) players are more inconsistent than older players. By young, I mean under 22 or so, and by inconsistent, I mean that one night my young hotshot may hit 4 threes in a row and the next night go 1 - 15 in FG attempts. My 26 year old SF seems a bit more predictable from game to game. Is this just me, or is this somehow factored into the game? I am guessing that Experience would be the factor, but I thought that was not a predictable progression, nor from what I can tell does it correlate with this consistency / predictable performance that I seek.

It could be the defenses you are playing. One may have a good defensive guard.

You have to consider the game shape too.

I believe experience plays a role in this.
