How do you cancel a bid on a player? There should be a button on the player bid page but I don't see one. It won't even let me set a lower figure in the bid amount window.

Sorry, bam, but there is NO way to cancel a bid once it has been made. This is why you have to be totally sure of a bid before you make one...Pappy

That's a really stupid rule if you're a newbie. I didn't see anything that said bids were final.

There are many reasons why it's certainly not a stupid rule:

- Withdrawing a bid can have a chain reaction on bids made using that money for the selling team

- Being able to withdraw bids can be manipulated to cause trouble with the selling team (causing the player to be sold very low, preventing interested teams from bidding, etc.)

Why would you even attempt to make a bid you didn't want to do?

I'm sorry but it's stupid. What if an owner finds another player they would rather spend the money on? Or they decide the money would be better spent on arena upgrades?

I realize you're trying to prevent cheating or unfair advantages but it really turns newbie owners like me off when we're not allowed to change our minds while trying to learn the game. Especially when we don't see anything telling us that bids are final.

when you bid it's a bid, it's final and there's nothing stupid about that. being able to cancel the bids would be stupid and chaotic.

It's stupid to punish owners that don't know the rules and aren't trying to scam the game.

There's nothing chaotic about allowing owners to take bids back either. Only allow one cancellation a season or something. At the very least new owners should be allowed at least one 'get out of jail free' card.

Letting people remove bids would destroy the market. I have never seen any auction system that let's you remove a bid. Some let you cancel auctions early if no one has bid on a playre/item.

I doubt it would destroy the market to allow one cancellation per new owner. How about allowing one in their whole career? That isn't asking too much.

I would have a lot less problem with the rule if there was even just a warning on the transfer list saying that all bids are final.

Then you shouldn't commit money elsewhere in that case.

I didn't realize arena upgrades would be possible yet until I looked at the economy page.
