I would like to suggest giving owners a warning message on the player/bid page that lets us know that the bid will be final unless it's outbid. A message like the one that pops up when firing players would work.

*sigh*, I agree with your idea, but you're pushing it a little bit too much. You've already lied about bidding on a player, and you get tentative the moment someone disagrees with you.

Pushing it too much? I decided to post here in this section so that this suggestion would get some consideration. I think it would be a valuable addition to the game.

I don't know why you're accusing me of lying about bidding on a player. I did place a bid on a player and he joined my team yesterday. Maybe you should check your facts before falsely accusing somebody you don't know of lying. Not cool.

naaa it will delay making bids specially when you go into a bidding war when u use some kind of strategy, a few weeks ago i was on the street and i just barely make it to bid on a player in the last second *sigh* having to confirm the bid would delay my own and i would never have gotten the player.

How would it delay making a bid? You click on bid, the message comes up telling you if you want to go through with it or not, then you click yes or no(or bid again) and away you go. It would delay the process by about two seconds. If two seconds causes a problem for anybody then they need to manage their time a lot better.

It really isn't quite that simple. Sometimes the transfer market doesn't immediately accept bids, possibly because of server traffic, but who knows. I think the objection is that having another intermediate step would make for another point at which there could be a delay. And the delay might be a lot longer than two seconds -- I've had that happen to me before.

in theory but in reality sht happens, sometimes networks and pc processing take their toll.

I think you're making it out to be more than I'm suggesting. It would just be a message that pops up asking if you want to go ahead with the bid, much like the message to fire players. There's no processing until you confirm the bid.

naaa i dont have the need to make things up, you can start a new thread about "tales of bid wars" and u will see i'm not the only one.

instead of the pop up i will suggest you to consider your bid carefully before doing it. the first time i was looking for new players a bidded like crazy not a good method but what i do now is look thru a bunch of players and bid only for the good ones, the ones that will truly help my team.

If you plan to implement this perhaps use it for newbies in their first week or make it possible to remove the confirmation warning via profile. Atleast I do not need any confirmation. I know when I'm going after the player and I do not "accidentally" bid on players, staff.

I didn't say you were making things up, I said you're making my suggestion to be something it isn't. I'm not suggesting a pop up, that's just a figure of speech. I meant that the message would pop up on the page like the one that appears when you fire a player. You would click on bid, a message would appear beside the bid button warning you that it will be final, then you would click the bid button again to put the bid through.
