Hi,

I wondered what would be the best tactic against FCP?

Moreover, what kind of players should I play with?

thanks

From the rules:

Full Court Press: Significant increase in created turnovers at the expense of stamina, defense, and rebounding. Very high pace.

Putting on a full court press will increase the number of turnovers you force, but will also give opponents with good ball handling skills easy looks at the hoop.

Handling: Allows the player to avoid losing the ball to the opposing defense while dribbling. Important against a pressing defense (to be added later) or, in general, against good perimeter defense.

Driving: Allows the player to create his own shot without a good pass from a teammate. Better driving creates shots more often and creates better shots on average.

Passing: Helps to create good shots (and get assists). Bad passing can also lead to turnovers.

So, how's your stamina? Rebounding? Passing? Handling? Driving? Do you have good outside shooters? Better inside guys?

To answer your question about what tactic you should play, you should first asses your team's strengths and weaknesses. Then, try to asses the strengths and weaknesses of your opponent.

Whether your opponent plays FCP against you or not, you still have to stop his offense. What offensive tactic does he use regularly? Who are his best players? Does he take a heap of shots from 3pt range? Does he have a great center? What do his team ratings look like from his recent games?

Find his weakness, and try to exploit it. You can't win all the time, but working on pitting your team's strengths against your opponents' weaknesses (and trying to minimize his strengths, too) will do more to help you win than trying to throw an offensive tactic against a defensive tactic.
