Hi all, we are having a nice discussion in Czech rep., which arose from NT debate. There is a task: you have a hundred "points" which you should assign to 10 basic player's skills (no FT and STA) by each position so as to create an ideal player which could be used in all-purpose tactics and his salary would not go through the roof.

I guess this is a nice task and I ask everyone to share his ideas with other managers - don't you think it's as easy as it seems.

Here are two examples by our best managers - rwystyrk and bik_76 (I hope they dont get offended I post their ideas here, if so, contact me and I will delete them immediately)

rwystyrk:
PG: JS 14, JR 11, OD 15, HA 13, DR 13, PA 14, IS 1, ID 9, RE 5, SB 5
SG: JS 18, JR 12, OD 14, HA 11, DR 12, PA 11, IS 3, ID 7, RE 5, SB 7
SF: JS 16, JR 10, OD 13, HA 8, DR 10, PA 8, IS 8, ID 10, RE 10, SB 7
PF: JS 12, JR 6, OD 7, HA 9, DR 11, PA 7, IS 12, ID 13, RE 13, SB 10
C: JS 9, JR 5, OD 7, HA 7, DR 10, PA 7, IS 15, ID 15, RE 15, SB 10

biggest surprise for me:

the heavy, almost equal weight given to drive

then:

OD large even for the big men;
JR not that important;
ID important for all

Thanks for posting -- very interesting, nice guidance.

Hey, nice thread. Very surprised that both play an outside SF.

I would make and SF like this with 100 points;

SF: JS 10, JR 8, OD 17, HA 7, DR 10, PA 9, IS 10, ID 17, RE 10, SB 2 (neutral)
SF: JS 15, JR 9, OD 17, HA 8, DR 9, PA 9, IS 5, ID 17, RE 9, SB 2 (outside)
SF: JS 9, JR 4, OD 17, HA 5, DR 10, PA 7, IS 14, ID 17, RE 12, SB 5 (inside)

You got to know when to hold em, know when to fold em, Know when to walk away and know when to run. You never count your money when youre sittin at the table. Therell be time enough for countin when the dealins done.

OD - when your opponent has C/PF wih nice outside shot, it is useful
JR - it is enough - better JR costs much money on salary
