Hi. I drafted an 18 year old MVP last season. I have been training him ever since.

His stats are:

Jump Shot: prolific ↑ Jump Range: strong
Outside Def.: respectable Handling: atrocious
Driving: respectable Passing: average
Inside Shot: atrocious Inside Def.: average
Rebounding: pitiful Shot Blocking: awful
Stamina: average Free Throw: respectable

Experience: atrocious

But this morning, after the training, when the jump shot popped up, he turned into small forward. I want him to be a shooting guard.

What should I train? And I should keep him playing as a shooting guard, right?

Thanks for help.

SF's tend to be all round players (both inside and outside skills), so keep training the guard skills (JS, JR, OD, HA, DR, PA) and hopefully he will turn back to a SG.

I wonder why you care what is his estimated position. I does not affect anything :)

Hmm... What you are saying is that....

The estimated position has no effect at all? Is it simply a suggestion by the game engine? The only things that do matter are his skills for the position he is actually playing at?

i would say OD is very important for him, and even a bit one on one too eliminate his driving - JS should have a break for a while the other "5" skill have higher priority in my eyes.

Jump shot is huge for a SF. Since it is his highest skill, it is weighting more to a SF. Train guard skills and he'll go back to SG (outside shooting would do it the fastest).
