What happens if I buy a player that already played in other team this week? Do the minutes in that other team count towards training in my team?

The amount of training a player gets depends on the amount of minutes THAT PLAYER played in that week. If the player that you're buying played 20 minutes this week, he has attained 20 minutes of training in your team.

Nice... so if he already played 40 minutes with his previous team this week, it means that I only need to make him play 8 extra minutes with my team for training purposes...

Also, look at your Weekly Stats page. It will show how many munutes your players have played this week.
