Allow me to be the first person to request the whole TIE/CT experiment die. I have benefitted and lost to it and am tired of the effect. Smart teams know they only have to finish 4th (thereby getting a better draft pick as well) and can start cruising at a certain point in the season to get better (and undeserved) results in Cup and Tournament games. My friend lost to a guy who bbmailed him telling him he kicked his butt with CT. His team was not as talented (ratings based) and on even footing, it would of been ugly.

Again - have won with it and have lost by it so I am not complaining. Rather I am tired of it making the season matches not matter.

At worst, take it out of the Playoffs and Tournament matches. I want to be in the cup because my team earned it, not have it given to them by attitude.

The effect of TIE/CT and enthusiasm in general will be reduced after the all-star break.
The effects of Take it Easy and Crunch time will be reduced within a game, since we are finding that most teams lose when they Take it Easy and most teams win when they Crunch Time at a rate higher than is ideal. These tactics should help/harm significantly, but not to the point that nothing else matters. The effects of enthusiasm on the game engine will be reduced.

That doesn't change my request. It should only be effective on league matches.

There is now way you can address the impact it has on games and seasons. Secondly, my issue isn't the effect it has on the current game someone uses CT/TIE. Its the after effects and the impact it has on the game results. You just shouldn't be able to tank games and get that extra boost in Tournament or playoff games. Those games mean more and your team should naturally get up for those games.

I am just asking the masses if they feel it should be apart of the game. I don't feel it should.

I have to say I am with BB for this.

I have suffered from this as well yesterday in my cup game. I felt like I could have won this game but I suspect he played CT and I played normal.

However if you want this game to be a bit realistic and close to reality; then you cannot separate the enthousiasm in cup games and league games. As you see for instance in football. Teams like Manchester United will rest players before a crucial game or concentrate all superstar players on a game they NEED to win.

So hopefully after the all star break; after finetuning the match engine. BB will reflect more realistically. Because of course it was never meant to be a sure win button regardless of the quality of the team.

yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, but today is a gift. That is why it is called the "present."

100% agree

for example: playing CT during the semifinal. next game is the final. Dont think in reality the enthusiasm will drop.
U just won the semifinal, u r going to play THE FINALS => your enthusiasm will increase.

what if your oppenent plays CT during the semifinals. If u dont play CT, u r going to loose the semifinal, if u do play CT, then you will most likely loose the finals. So if your oppenent plays CT in the semis, you are screwed anyways.

i agree....

i have yet to use a CT and keep my enthusiasm around 8-9 for the ultimate when i want to win game (which i imagine is in the playoffs sometime) i will however be pissed if i lose playing normal when enthusiasm is high (9) against an inferior team who is CT at 5/6..

like HT managing TS or in this case enthusiasm should be a feature IMO but as other posters on this thread have suggested bring it in line with reality..

if someone CT twice in the cup this week they could be on enthusiasm 2??!! If you won the cup of course you might get a slight 'hangover' due to complacency in the league and the fact everyone wants to beat the cup holders but that is a mountain to climb.....

I think that TIE ad CT add a great deal of strategy to the game.

I am winning both my cup games and my regular season games and my enthusiasm is at 11. I am heading into the final cup game and I might not need to use CT.

I have been playing TIE during regular season and until my enthusiasm was at 9 I would play normal for the cup games. You will probably lose your regular season games but the advantage is that you do not lose your early cup games.

Once you reach around 9 enthusiasm you can play TIE all the time and most likely win unless you are playing a much stronger team. Once you are at 11 enthusiasm you can probably still have a chance against a much stronger team.

However this whole strategy is about to be changed as the BBs are bringing in a new enthusiasm formula for games so it could kill this idea completely.

There is no strategy in using TIE, tanking games, only to be a team in 1 game because you decided an 8 or 9 enthusiasm was good for a game. There is no penalty in using it and the penalty for TIEing is going to be lessened therefore creating a better advantage in TIE as it pertains to overal attitude.

The real strategy comes in managing your minutes and creating a matchup to take advantage of.

If the NBBA is tired of losing to teams of rookies, then why are they not commenting on losing to a team of rookies who happened to throw every match they had until they played them in a cup match that mattered?

I lost in the 1st round of the Cup, so I'm not the best one to ask.

A CT? Really?
Any two will do
Any three for me
Any four will score
Any five are live

Well then the problem doesn't lie with the after effects of CT and TIE. It's more the term 'Enthusiasm'.

Change the name 'Enthusiasm' to something that's more related to TIE and CT. Make it like a factor that effects your gameshape or performance. You can even make it % wise.

Example:
100% = neutral
play a TIE and it drops 10% for that game and rises the next games by 5%.
Play a CT and it raises 10% for that game. And drops 30% for the next games.

There is no link between the terms 'CT/TIE' and 'Enthusiasm'.
