It goes without saying, but try to get a scrimmage every week. If you can't find one go to the scrimmage thread([message= 10051.172]) and either post, or challenge someone who has posted. If you don't get every player at least 24 minutes each week, then their stamina MAY drop. (I had 3 players drop a level.)

Next season it will be easier in the first couple weeks of the season because you have the cup. Odds are the first few weeks you will get bots but unless you are positive you can win DON'T TIE them. I made the noob mistake off being a cocky, newly promoted, arrogant person and played my scrub line-up and TIE'd. (See game:(2039579))

Also, understand the difference in getting your players minutes:

Strictly follow Depth Chart will make your starters play 30+ minutes so you have your best players on the floor and Let Coach Decide will spread them more evenly. Your coach will put the best players on the floor so be careful you don't get any player over 90 minutes or their Practice this week will drop and they will not play up to their best possible.

AND WHATEVER YOU DO DON't: Spend any money on the TL until you know what your doing. I made that mistake and lost 120,000 on a horrible player! ((688467))

I started last season right around this time so I like to think I know the ropes. ( I have made all the mistakes, believe me!) If you need specific answers, you can just BB-mail me!

Good Luck!

P.S. Oh yeah, also, worship GM-Juicepats!(22777) :)

I have no idea why, but hell, it sounds like a tremendous idea.

NO ONE at this table ordered a rum & Coke

A CT? Really?
Any two will do
Any three for me
Any four will score
Any five are live

The rules are my bible :)

a more skilled player will improve more quickly. For example, a great inside defender and rebounder will find it easier to improve his shot blocking than a poor inside defender and poor rebounder would. This encourages you to develop players with a combination of skills, but there are many combinations of skills which work well together

It's not a theory, it's a fact.
Then we can discuss how big is the effect and what is the difference between similar skills before it has a visible impact.

hmm, didn't you sell him again for 190k??

no I advice on don't transferring until you know what you do as well.
The most important thing is: don't put up your own players too cheap, you can always relist if they don't sell easely.
Try to decide asap which guys you want to keep to play, and which you want to get rid off, and put the ones you want to get rid of on the TL for an amount you feel is way too much, later decrease if you didn't sell, the other way around might loose you some hard needed money.
the rest is said by others...

and yes, somehow I feel it might not be misplaced to worship ''the juiceman''

They are not your friends; they dispise you. I am the only one you can count on. Trust me.
