So are you the one giving all the one ball ratings in the Canadian forums? If not, sorry for the diatribe - this is aimed at whoever is doing it:


I don't think this was at me, but I have gone thru and five balled everyone I can. If I find he post useless I don't rate it...pretty easy I think. This system is very 'junior high' and makes me laugh. The Canadian forums are pretty quite and then when people feel like they are being judged it makes them even less likely to post.

That may be part of it but I don't think it is it 100% - personally I love your directness.

I think my conclusion is, if you are active and make enough posts, eventually you will have a low rating. My rating is only at 3.5 balls right now because in my PL Fed, everyone gives everyone else 5 balls all the time.

It was a reply to AM... I just had a feeling it was him but I was probably wrong. Actually, I gave 1 ball in retaliation but tomorrow I will change it to 5 balls. I think I'm just done caring about the whole system and will systematically give 5 balls to everyone from now on. ;-)

I think the only guy I've given a "1-ball" on the forums, was that guy who would copy and paste my arena posts and edit only his team's info... If I had given a "1-ball" to you, I wouldn't have bothered posting in the thread so that you wouldn't have the option of retaliating.

Well, my apologies, then. Once I'm able to give you 5 balls again, I will (I hate this 12 hour thing, I feel like I should be able to go back and change my rating if I want to).

Anyway, just thought that was a somewhat interesting story relating to this juvenile feature. Personally, I don't rate posts because I see no point to it.


Your rating is actually pretty high for someone who consistently makes forum posts, and it is not artificially inflated like mine is! ;-) I am certainly in your camp that the system is juvenile. It reminds me of those websites where you rate pictures of sexy women.
