I have played others games where the better strategy is to keep tickets high, so my first month I test that resulting in very low attendances. After the first match I knew it was wrong, but couldn't change it for a whole month (1/3 of the season)

next month I put medium tickets and also hired a PR 10 - just 50% attendances, so this month i lowered tickets a bit more, but I'm losing money again because now in playoffs the arena is full.

These are just all beginner faults, every beginner should be carefull with his money and learn everything first before spending it on a 25k a week lvl 10 PR manager. Nothing to blame the game here.

I'm a succesful manager (just see my transfer balance and team ratings) but i have a serious debt. I wish my stars sell well because if they put a lot of free agents at season's end again... well my team will go to bankrupt

You call youself a succesfull manager while you are in debt. Don't you think that's a little adversative? (no offense)
Of course everyone wants to buy nice players etc, but you need to put your roster in perspective of your division. There is no need at all to have 5 players with high salary's (4500+) in the fifth division. I play in the 3rd and I pay only 41k, and still I will play the PO finals soon.

Managing is not just buying and selling players and put up a team who performs well, there is a lot more included in managing, for example to get a healthy economy.

Yes when i started to play the forum was full of threads telling that a level 10 PR won't pay off unless you were in 2nd division (i thought he would pay off in the long run, but two weeks ago i decided to fire him but only had level 9 and level 8 replacements till few days ago), or never put tickets at maximum and expected TV income at division 5 and so on. I was so beginner and stupid that did not found them, so i tried to learn by try-error, but the punishment is too much.

Also if those beginners mistakes costs you so much I BLAME the game for not providing a better begginer's guide or simply give me more control and reaction over my economy.

You can change the tactic and team effort for every match but not the tickets: You have much more control over how your team performs than over economy. Also had very bad luck, but i haven't gone to bankrupt yet

two of that players cost me a little (less than 5000k) or are my trainees half of them i planl sell at this season end, they had less salary but with new instant salary adjust...

Really? I thought that if you buy cheap players and sell valuable trained players your economy will be healthy...

When it gets personal is when we have a problem.

actually who said managing a team is easy!

for example, you cant sell all your good or best players and hope to develop the young ones and you tank on the losses and rant you cant get enough money!

this is healthy on your economy at the start with the boost of sudden big amount of cash, but in the long run you dont get attendee's so you suffer.

an example in real life is the LA Clippers, when the owner wouldnt want to get good guys which is = big salaries, so what happens their attendance were the worst and the only time they get people to come is when the kobe, or some really big stars come to your town. imagine they let guys like danny manning, ron harper on their best years go! so when they were able to convince the owner here comes brand and etc. so are they competitive now.

your merchandise sales also reflect on what your team is, if your team sucks would people buys their jerseys unless you got a lebron type players that get 30 pts 10 rebs 10 assist on a losing streak. imagine have you heard of loy vaught? ( unless your a fantasy geek) in case you dont know he was the star on the clippers sucks team that time.

let us not forget, the key here is making a competitive team while not making much strain on your expenses. meaning what you earn a week on your home games should be bigger than your weekly expense. this way you get to be afloat on your money.

now if you have a competitive team meaning you can win more than 50% of your games, or you think you are winning meaning if you see your attendance full or 85% full start building or better yet if you can do both at the same time getting wins and build your arena. slowly your making a buzz and people are coming.

choosing players, you dont need to get a player with skills of almost everything average to respectable, just think what you need meaning if you need a low post guy then look for inside scoring, rebs, if your the run and gun type go with outside shooting. just see what skills you need and its how you use them. no matter how they are good for example in outside shot but you center plays inside your going to count more on inside shot than that.

I picked up a team that was near the bottom of the standings in my division last year and through good managing, I assume, made it finish 1st this year and have had no financial problems. I was very careful to start off with, found cheap players on the market that could help my team, won some games, made more money and improved my team.
It's not hard to stay out of bankruptcy if you're careful at the beginning.

you'll recieve 3 youngsters at the beginning of the next season.

which means 3 potential sales, which should probably cover up the 165.000 loss.

just be patient and think things through before they happen, not a week or two, I mean WAY before they happen.

let me tell you guys how i manage my team when i first started this game, which is just the 2nd week of season 3.

when you first started the game, attendances are always low, i've been through it, so what i did is just cut off some expenses, like try selling off or fire guys that i don't use until i just have 12 players. this way this i can sve up to $15k per week in salaries. i just hire a lvl 5 trainer n didn't hire other staff.
after the all star week then the attendances are high (still lvl 1 pr manager), n i get a decent surplus per week. then i started buying players to strengthen the squad, expand the arena, hiring higher lvl staff, pay the draft scout , etc but i still didn't go overboard with my expenses

basically what i'm trying to say is always try to balance your expenses with ur income. the same thing also apply to other management game, even in REAL LIFE

I just meant to say that it isn't fair to blame managers' mistakes to the so called 'bad economy in game'. While others can have a healthy economy.

hey guys, share of opinions here. lets take it easy on the jaw biting!

if you see your team having more than 15 players, analyze if your using all of them. if your not wouldnt it be best to sell or cut the weakest. now that removes the so called excess baggage.

next on your staff dont panic on getting PR manager if your a losing team ( no matter how good your PR or marketing is doing if your team sucks no one gives interest in it)

just get a trainer starting on level 4-5 ( for starters ), keep the doctor at level 1( unless your injury prone team)

now next, on your remaining members, check who you always play and dont. those who you think is clicking to your style of play. those probably will be your top 6-8 players. then those who are having good stats but arent utilize sell em.

but in the process of selling them look for replacements that could be at least near them, most probably this guys salary are lower but since they are bench players since you have 6-8 good players making your team, they can have time to jell ( just practice )

i remember i have a bench player his a decent guy, i dont use him often but on one practice he explodes on a 50 point game. i sell him quick and got 60k in return.

those good players you have but arent getting any playing time just sell em, you got to realize this players has family, bills to pay etc so make them earn that money their getting and maybe next year they could get a better contract.

now that you got rid of those high paying salary guys that arent utilize, and got new to be develop guys in your team. you have now accomplish what you call a semi rebuilding of your expenses.
