JS without JR when shooting 3 FG's can't do much damage. My estimates are around up to 0.2 3FG percentage.
Here are the stats for my players (season 11)

Player 1: JS 13, JR 7 ......... 0.250 3FG (playing PG)
Player 2: JS 13, JR 8 ......... 0.417 3FG (playing SF)
Player 3: JS 9, JR 3 .......... 0.167 3FG (playing PF)
Player 4: Js 10, JR 10 ........ 0.365 3FG (playing SG)

(please post the 3FG averages for your players who have good JS with low JR for comparison; also post some of your good 3PT shooters)

And more, SB will be the skill directly opposing JS, and most of big guys have decent SB level.

I will give him 1 week OD training after all. I need 1-2 weeks in OD for one PG in my team and he will jump as a sub. It annoys me when I see atrocious :) Having pitiful will not help him much to become SF, but might be a tiny add to him in his PF role.

Actual contribution is not linear to the skill level difference. The performance difference between atrocious and pitiful is far more pronounced compared to colossal Vs. legendary. I made another chart :P which again, is not exact - it's more demonstrative:

1. atrocious ............. 100
2. pitiful .................. 200
3. awful .................. 290
4. inept ...................375
5. mediocre ............. 457
6. average .............. 532
7. respectable .......... 597
8. strong ................ 657
9. proficient ............. 712
10. prominent ............ 762
11. prolific ................ 807
12. sensational .......... 847
13. tremendous ......... 882
14. wondrous ............ 921
15. marvelous ........... 937
16. prodigious ........... 957
17. stupendous ......... 972
18. phenomenal ........ 982
19. colossal .............. 987
20. legendary ........... 1000

From this chart you can conclude that, in terms of performance, mediocre is not 5 times more than atrocious but 4,57. Stupendous is not a double of prodigious, it's only 1.02 times better.

So, in absolute value, do I get much from getting him to pitiful OD? Yes. By 100% more.
But in relative value, do I get much? No. I get 100% more from the atrocious level, which is not much. :P

So, out of this discussion one would think that I should definitely train him pressure cause it will make him a better player. Well, that's rubbish. I'm going to do that simply cause I can't stand looking at his atrocious skill level :) Nothing more.

I would stay training to his ID/IS/Reb as what he has now is quite good. Dont waste time on his OD.

After my desirable pitiful (lol) OD level, he will be nothing but training as C (ID/RB/IS). You're right, this player should play in the paint, and nothing more than that.
