then im happy with my current levels as when needed the better players do play 36-42 mins and quite often my top 8 guys all walk away with 30-35 per game...

Try using "strictly follow depth chart" and not put any plaerys as subs or backups. Your starters should all play 48 minutes.

In my experience this will lead to the substitution of Lucky Fans.

@GrFlur: also without injuries.

I agree, I played few games with fans already. Some of them are not half bad, but I can't find them in the stands after the game is over to bring them in for a trial

This is probably good advice but as a counter-point, I had a SG trainee with awful stamina who I used to play in scrimmages with no back-up and coach set to strictly follow depth chart and he routinely played 48 mins. He would only get subbed out when he was in foul trouble which only happened in a couple of games.

But I did play with over 10 on the roster, just with no one set to back-up or reserve SG.

I can't quite recall when it happened, but I've had players subbed out in a scrimmage like this, I think I was playing look inside (so slightly increased pace).

On the other hand, my C with strong stamina only gave 1 minute to the backup with pitiful one, again with strictly follow depth chart, but playing look inside (so slightly decreased pace).

You have misunderstood... the idea is put no subs and backup players but have a full roster... so, if the starters are fouled out a player will substitute.

Even if you put a starter and a backup, leaving the subs blank the starter willl play about 40 minutes... I do it in scrimmages and have almost always more than 10 players with 48 minutes an 2 more over 35...

I see, I got you wrong.

And yes, that's something I can confirm. Good strategy.
