Akeem like Russell?? Maybe on D, but on offense Russell has nothing to do with Akeem. Russell wasnt a scorer at all. Russell never had any move that looked like that: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hW4uXlRGAF0&feature=re....

Dr J was the 1st high flyer, that Jordan master it and some more. I am not taking anything away, i have great respect for him, but simply MJ is the better player.

Clearly. Except that Connie Hawkins was the 1st high flyer.

Once I scored a basket that still makes me laugh.

As i am much younger than most of the other managers in this game, my pick is much different than everyone elses.

my favourite player is Tim Duncan of the spurs.

He won many titles, with his team and individual titles (MVP, rookei of the year, ETC...)

he knew how to get things done and didnt play very fancy.

With Dr. J, it's not so much about being a high-flyer...it's the hair envy: http://www.remembertheaba.com/OnlyintheABAMaterial/BigHai...

He's like the Rick James of basketball, maybe not the most talented, but the one with that intangible something that everybody else wants.

I don't know who was the best player ever, but I know the "coolest" had to be Walt "Clyde" Frazier. DVD's from the 70s are the only thing that keep Knick fans like me going, I guess. :D

When I was a youngster, I wanted to be seven feet tall and play center for the Chicago Bulls, just like my favorite player, Artis Gilmore. Maybe he’s not the greatest player ever, but it’s a crime that he’s not in the Basketball Hall of Fame. You can debate his skills all you want, but nobody had a better fro. Ever. The day he put on a Spurs uniform was a very sad one for me. Rooting for Reggie Theus just wasn’t the same as rooting for old number 53.

Don't ask what sort of Chunks they are, you probably don't want to know. Blowing Chunks since Season 4!
