You can make yourself look badly inferior in team ratings and still have the stronger team on court


for me this is clear since the new engine is out, the matchup rating combined with the shots taken are the kind were i usually look at, and in this area is PF who was conservative in lineup was clearly the ebst even when the other do good.

and out-of-position offensive players may be a way to force fouls on defenders


i would say this is more random, because i play sometimes my trainees out of position to teach then inside Skills(and they are more guard like SF, sometimes even real guards). I don't do it that often to have asolid data base, and often it combined with superior or weak lineups but i don't notice then to draw so much fould then usual.

Try experimenting with playing people out of position on offense but keeping them in their "proper" position on defense :)

yer there is something quite good going on here and until now i was hoping that i was the only one that worked out how effective it can be.

That was basically the "hidden secret" of the US U21 during the qualifying campaign. My group of friends I fed with (including Jelme) have a number of people who swear by the blank or partially-blank LCD. Mostly I just swear at it.

I wish I could tell you there was a master plan with switching positions on offense and defense, but alas, the explanation is much less fun :)


I believe the opposite. This is, by far, the most intriguing and fun possible explanation that I can think of.

It pops up an old question but looked for different angle: What does the coach know that we don't? Analizing this kind of games might show some light upon it.
