Bot promotion for California Supreme, while Zach Squad had to spend another season in D.V.

And I'm like 99% percent sure there was a whole thread a while back (probably 6+ months ago at least) on this phenomenon and the mechanics of bot-promotion wherein this was confirmed by other posters too?

I could certainly be wrong, but I'm pretty sure it's not just 'absolute best regular season record'.

Yes, you´re right, i remember that thread, and like in this case, team with worse record in other conference promote

Yeah, thanks- It actually may be like in this thread: http://www.buzzerbeater.com/community/forum/read.aspx?thr... where someone says that winning your conference is the key (and not how far you go in the playoffs), but the fact remains that you could theoretically finish 21-0 and in 2nd place in your conference and the guy on the other side who won his weaker conference with an 16-6 record would still bot promote ahead of you.

Which I guess works just as well for the original poster, since he did win his conference. But for some people reading and wondering, it might be an important distinction.

I was the one who beat him. Last year he went 22-0 and lost in the semis and did not promote from bot clean up so im guessing he wont this season.

So sad, I wish it was the other way around too. I would be able to promote with my 11-11 record. I came in at 4-9 so I didn't do terrible, but its unfortunate that I will be stuck in D.V. The Land of Bots. The Competitiveless Abyss. The slums of BB.
