I second your opinion. But this +/- could only be on scrimmage because it's being tested or something???

I noticed on my league game last night that the +/- is in the box score. So im thinking that it hs been ported over to league games as well now.

I wonder if they will 'back-date' the new feature? That is, if you go to games from a year ago, will it have it in it?

Yeah I saw this in my last league game. So from now on, it'll be there for all the games I belive.

Nah I'm pretty sure this feature will not be shown for the games from the last season.

I love the +/- column. It is very interesting to see, what an influence a player has on the game of your team beside the obvious statistics. Very valuable information.

In my eyes the best new feature since I joined BB two years ago!!!! It would be great, if BB would keep the column

I think this is an interesting feature, but ofc it has it's faults. For eg, even if there's a super player, he needs support and he can't destroy the opponent by himself. If the rest of the players are scrubs, the superstar's +/- could be negative. So +/- value could certainly depend on the other players too.

Fair enough, that's a good point. I guess that is another way of using +/-. But I'm just saying that if other players aren't very good, the contribution of the star player is not as evident from +/-. But anyhow, I like what you have pointed out. One ball for you.

I do not understand this +/- "stats". Last match did one of my SF play 17 minutes and the other SF 31 minutes. These two players stayed together 48 minutes on the field. The one got +20 the other +31. That means according to the rules that the team scored 52 points (or 52 times ball in the basket?). My team scored 126 points. Is the meaning of these +/- to show that my team scored 51 points more than my opponent while these players played. And what good do I have of knowing this?

Yes, at its basics, and in BB, +/- tracks individual player point differential. For every point your team scores, your players on the court earn a plus and for every point the opponent scores, your players earn a minus.

It was originally a hockey stat and I think it's best served there, but it's okay for basketball I guess.

Go Mats Zuccarello! No? :P
